Scent Pathfinders New for Summer 2013!

Does your dog love to sniff? All that sniff-sniff-sniffing your dog does during nearly every waking minute is part of nature’s design. Give your dog something new and exciting to do that they will enjoy doing!

Scent detection taps into your dog’s natural scenting ability. This new exciting sport was inspired by the training of scent detection canines for the police and military. It is open to all dogs: pure-breds and mixed-breeds!

Dogs learn to develop their innate hunting ability and handlers begin to learn how to understand what their dog is telling them about the hunt.

Only one dog-handler team is working on the floor at one time.

The class introduces the concept of the game, builds handler observation skills and timing, and gets the dogs focused. All dogs are taught to identify the same scent, a legal natural essential oil.  Additionally, we introduce techniques and tactics for building better dog/handler teamwork.
