Casually mention you have a trained dog and the question "what tricks can your dog do?" invariably pops up. So rather than say something like "oh, my dog has an O.T.Ch." to a blank stare, wouldn't it be more fun to say, "my dog can walk a tightrope over Niagara falls?" Yes, ambitious as that may sound, it is possible! All you need is a couple of bus tickets, some rope and a lot of skill... Skill you can begin to pick up at our advanced Trick Dog Level 2 class.

Our Trick Dog 2 class will up your game and fill your bag of tricks to overflowing, much to the amazement of your friends, family, and YOU.

In this class you will learn tricks and progress in shaping actions--all while improving training skills and learning about behavior. Tricks are a great way to bond with your dog, as well as building and strengthening your dog’s obedience skills.

Advanced tricks involve greater complexity (multiple tricks executed in a sequence), and sometimes physical finesse. For example, a simple trick might involve retrieving a leash on command. An advanced trick would require an additional step like opening/closing a cupboard containing the leash. Tricks requiring physical fitness include standing on a rolling barrel, skateboarding, climbing ladders and so on. The class will teach you how to nest tricks to create mind blowing effects and help your dog achieve "body awareness," a major secret of success.

You will start off learning tried and true tricks but, with practice, you will pick up fundamental skills to create your own. All the while you will be building a bond with your dog and having a lot of (stress free) fun in the process.

A 4 to 6 foot leather leash is required for this class. Bring your own leash or, if you wish, leather leashes will be available for purchase at the class.
